This 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 First Edition coupe sold on Bring a Trailer for $180,000. The example showed approximately 4,200 miles at the time of the auction and appeared in its Fly Navy livery over Viper Blue paint with white stripes. It is #67 of 200 First Edition coupes built for the model year and is one of 24 examples modified by Hennessey with the twin-turbocharged Venom 1000 package. The car was offered on Bring a Trailer with service records, a car cover, the owner's manual, and a clean Illinois title.
The example carried a documented competition history, having been used in multiple tuner and supercar magazine shootouts. Driven by John Kiewicz, it took overall honors in the June 2006 Motor Trend cover-story tuner shootout, and in September 2007 Steve Millen drove it in the Road & Track cover-story supercar shootout. Wearing its Fly Navy livery, the car posted a 0-200 mph time of 20.4 seconds and a standing mile speed of 220.9 mph, with the 0-200 run recorded as four seconds quicker than a Bugatti Veyron in the same test. It later appeared on the cover of the November 2007 issue of German publication Auto Bild, and a copy of a letter from Hennessey details its history and prior use as a demonstrator.
Hennessey's Venom 1000 package for the 8.3-liter V10 included forged internal components, Precision ball-bearing turbochargers, a front-mounted intercooler, stainless-steel headers, external wastegates, and a custom exhaust system, with updated Precision 6266 turbochargers, Fuel Injector Clinic injectors, and a MoTeC engine-management system installed in 2021. The seller reported dyno results of 1,003 horsepower and 1,121 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, delivered through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Interior equipment included black leather seats with suede inserts and Hennessey embroidery, Hennessey trim pieces, and a Sabelt five-point driver's harness, with a numbered console plaque identifying this car as #067 of 200 First Edition examples.
