1985 Porsche 911 Carrera M491

Factory Turbo Look

This Guards Red Carrera left the factory with the M491 package, including wider fenders and Turbo-style spoilers. It was acquired by the owner in 2009 and repainted during a subsequent build. An aftermarket front spoiler, rear-quarter vents, and 18-inch Forgeline wheels accompany the factory widebody form.

Twin-plug 3.4-liter build

Midwest Eurosport overhauled the flat-six, enlarged it to 3.4 liters, and installed twin-plug cylinder heads. The 915 five-speed was re-geared and fitted with replacement synchros; a limited-slip differential and custom dual-outlet exhaust are also fitted. JRZ adjustable coilovers and an SRP rear sway bar support the chassis.

Cabin and preparation

Recaro seats, a Wevo shifter, a welded-in roll bar, and RS-style door panels give the cabin its competition-oriented layout. The odometer showed 37k miles. Preparation in 2025 included tires, brake pads and rotors, a fuel filter, hood struts, and an oil change. Build and service records accompanied the car, and the Carfax showed no accident or damage entries from its first entry in 2002.
