M472 Touring
Built in M472 Touring specification, this Carrera RS combines flared rear quarters with the signature ducktail spoiler. It was originally Sepia Brown and later repainted white. The car was brought to the United States in 1988 and acquired by the owner in 1994.
Euroquipe refurbishment
Euroquipe of St. Charles, Illinois, refurbished the car in 2024–2025. Work included an LN Engineering Nickies kit that enlarged the flat-six to 2.9 liters, an interior refresh, suspension and brake overhauls, and a reseal of the 915 transaxle. Red-centered Fuchs wheels, bolstered Recaro seats, TRW Sabelt harnesses, and a roll bar complete the specification.
Identification and records
The auction recorded 77k kilometers on the odometer. It disclosed that the chassis plate in the front trunk was missing and that the Illinois title carried a Corrected/Dup designation. Recent service records accompanied the car.
Bring a Trailer result
Bidding reached $301,000 on Bring a Trailer on January 8, 2026. The reserve was not met, so the auction did not produce a sale.
