The 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance closed Monterey Car Week in breathtaking fashion, transforming the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links into a stage for the world’s most exceptional automobiles. Against the backdrop of the Pacific, a field of around 200 hand-selected cars—each judged for elegance, authenticity, and historical significance—offered an unforgettable display of automotive artistry.
This year’s special classes celebrated milestone anniversaries for Invicta, Chrysler, and Moretti, each bringing rare and significant examples to the lawn. The design legacy of Virgil Exner was honored with a lineup of his most striking creations, while Formula 1’s 75th Anniversary class traced Grand Prix history from its earliest years to modern championship machines. The 60th anniversary tribute to the Shelby 427 Cobra gathered an unprecedented collection of these American icons, from competition cars to the very first and last 427s ever built.
Adding to the spectacle, the 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C Nieuport-Astra “Tulipwood Torpedo” was crowned Best of Show, its aviation-inspired bodywork capturing both historic ingenuity and timeless beauty. The Tour d’Elegance along 17-Mile Drive once again proved a highlight in the lead-up to Sunday’s showcase, while the Pebble Beach Classic Car Forum brought together designers, historians, and collectors to discuss everything from Virgil Exner’s influence to the evolving role of modern concours. Formula 1’s 75th Anniversary display was particularly noteworthy, featuring Niki Lauda’s 1976 Ferrari 312 T2 among more than 30 iconic Grand Prix cars.
Beyond the judged competition, guests explored the Concept Car Lawn, where automakers unveiled cutting-edge designs and hypercars, offering a glimpse into the future alongside the treasures of the past. Enjoy a selection of our favorite details from the day.
